Summary

A large Late Saxon or early medieval bowl rim and some oysters shells were found in a trench dug for foundations north of Brancaster church.

Plot north of parish church, east of Broad Lane.
Found in spoil from foundation trenches.
Large bowl rim, flat topped and out-turned; hard dark grey ware. Grimston-type Thetford? Externally sooted.
Oyster shells also.
