Summary

This is the site of a post medieval windmill marked on a map of 1797. It is known that this mill was a post mill, and was licenced in 1765 and in use until 1858.

A mill is depicted to the east of the track, at approximately TG 3126 2459, on Tunstead Enclosure Map (S3) and Tithe Map (S4), and on the Ordnance Survey 1 inch map (S5). It is not clear whether this is the same mill as that depicted on Faden’s Map (S1).
