Summary

In 1979 a rim sherd of a Late Saxon Thetford ware bowl with a rouletted rim was recovered from the surface of this field.

November 1979. In one of two fields west of drove running south from Platts Corner. On surface of ploughed field.
Rim sherd of Late Saxon Thetford ware bowl, with rouletted rim.
NB. Fields are in low-lying silt marsh and there is therefore a strong possibility that the sherd was brought in with manure.
