Summary

Fieldwalking in 1979 recovered a scatter of Roman pottery fragments and a Roman coin of Vespasian. Metal-detecting between 2017 and 2018 recovered a post-medieval coin; a post-medieval jetton and a number of other Late Bronze Age and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Saxon socketed axehead fragment; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval copper allo and lead weights; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval crotal bell, coin weight and sword-belt fitting.
