This is the site of a post medieval smock mill, built in 1807, which was rebuilt as a tower mill in 1841.

Originally a smock mill, confusingly known as North Denes Mill as well as NHER 15672, it was rebuilt as a tower mill 1841 and called North Tower Mill.
