Summary

Fieldwalking between 1969 and 1980 recovered a number of prehistoric worked flints; including Mesolithic bladelet cores, flakes and a core rejuvenation flake; several Neolithic worked flints and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead. Metal-detecting between 2016 and 2018 recovered medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and medieval to post-medieval buckles and a medieval brooch.

Fieldwalking by H. le Strange (le Strange Field 22):
Mesolithic flint bladelet cores, 1 core rejuvenating flake and waste flakes ([1] approx.). These finds were donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1970.57). Identified by T. Clough (NCM). Information from (S1).
The assemblage is listed in (S2) as comprising 3 cores, 12 scrapers and 7 miscellaneous pieces.

1972. Fieldwalking.
Further fieldwalking by H. le Strange (le Strange Field 22):
1 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age small barbed and tanged flint arrowhead (TF 714 385 approx.). Donated to the NCM (NWHCM : 1972.603.3). Identified by T. Clough (NCM). Information from (S3).

April-July 1980. Fieldwalking.
Further fieldwalking by H. le Strange (le Strange Field 22):
1 prehistoric 'pot boiler'.
Neolithic worked flints including small cores, 5 scrapers and 4 flakes.
Flints identified by J. Wymer (NAU), February 1989. The finder's notes (see file) suggest that a possible Neolithic polished axe fragment and a piece of another possible axe were also found. It is possible that these were seen and found to not be axe fragments.
Previously recorded under NHER 1330 (Context 12).
