Three trial trenches.
To assess the archaeological potential of a disused quarry where Early Saxon finds are thought to have been made. No cremation remains were discovered and very little archaeology of any sort was encountered. Two post medieval boundary ditches were recorded. The area could not be the lcoation of the antiquarian finds. The area to the south of the woodland may be a more likely location.
