Summary

A perforated stone hone was found before 1918. Its date is uncertain, and could be as early as Roman or as late as medieval.

Battle axe, found before 1918. reidentified as a perforated stone hone, 5.7cm (2 1/8 inches) long and 1.3cm (1/2 inch) wide at broad end, tapering to a point at the other.
Head perforated from each side, and halfway between this and the point was a groove on one side. Sides of implement striated by rubbing. Stone on one side had weathered a pale blue. (S1) 'Near Burnham Market' called hammerhead,
