May 1789. In meadow behind hall.
Bronze spearhead. 'This brazen head of a spear was found in the meadow Ground behind Oxburgh Hall 1.8m foot deep in May 1789. It has seemingly been gilt, tis very thin hollow up to ye very tip or point Query if it be antique or not. The Rev. Mr. Parkin Rector of Oxborough now has it. Tis 15cm long, and 5cm broad at ye widest point'.
