Summary

In 1980 a Neolithic polished flint axehead was found by chance at this location. It appears to have been reused as a core. Metal-detecting in 2024 recovered a Roman brooch, a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragment and a piece of post-medieval lead shot.

Part-polished flint axe with squared sides. Butt end used as chopping tool. Reused as core towards other end.
Patinated white with ferrous staining. Length 101mm, breadth 54mm, thickness 35mm.
