Summary

In 1976 a post medieval lime kiln was recorded in a pit at this location. Likely in operation some time between 1839 and 1913 judging by map markings.

When house was visited, member of the public [1] denied there was any kiln there.

Site is marked on Costessey Tithe map 1839 (S2) and in White's Directory 1854-83 (S3). 25ins O.S. map 1913 shows pit but no kiln (S4)
