Summary

A mound was situated in this area, west of Peddars Way and north of Shernbourne Covert. Part surviving in 1976 to 32m in diameter, but has been levelled by ploughing. Trial excavation before 1948 indicated the presence of charcoal, which may indicate that it was a Bronze Age round barrow with a cremation.
