Summary

This is the site of lime kilns that were in use during the 1930s and 1940s. A tramway was associated with the lime kilns, and a tipping wagon survives as a drinking trough.

Lime kilns.
In use 1930 to 1948.
No trace now remains.
They had steel chutes for lime holes.
Also a small tramway. Tipping wagon survives at TG 1840 0490 used as a pheasants' drinking trough.
