1979-80. Surface finds in fieldwalking.
Thetford-type rim.
Plain ginger jar rim with late medieval/transitional sherds including chafing dish handle.
Lead-glazed earthenware sherds.
Stoneware and recent sherds.
17th century chafing dish basal sherd.

This is Context 2 at grid reference TM 1814 9162. Context 1 is whole field but sherds not kept separate from above.
Called Site A.
Forty-two medieval unglazed.
Five medieval glazed.
Twenty-eight late medieval/transitional.
Twenty-seven glazed red earthenware.
Two black glazed.
Nine post medieval stoneware.
No Late Saxon sherds in box seen by A. Rogerson (NAU).
