Summary

Fieldwalking in this area in 1979-80 recovered a number of Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds. Types identified included Late Saxon Thetford Ware, post medieval lead-glazed earthenware and red glazed earthenware.

Five medieval glazed.
Twenty-eight late medieval/transitional.
Twenty-seven glazed red earthenware.
Two black glazed.
Nine post medieval stoneware.
No Late Saxon sherds in box seen by A. Rogerson (NAU).
