June 1962. Stray Find.
Prehistoric stone macehead with hour-glass perforation. Now held by King's Lynn Museum (KILLM : 1962.67). Information from (S1) and (S2). Discovery also reported in (S3). This find is identified as a pebble macehead in (S4) (where its provenance is incorrectly listed as Houghton St Giles). It should be noted that these items are not considered closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
