Full Description
4 June 1980. NAU air photography.
Alignment of five pits, visible as cropmarks (positive marks).
D. Edwards (NAU), 11 March 1981.
3 June 1981. Site visit.
Field disused and overgrown. The cropmarks are formed by circular patches of tall nettles, and grass taller than the rest of the field. They are at the crest of a slope to the north.
E. Rose (NAU).
A. Lawson (NAU) suggests these are postholes for a large marquee set up for a Gospel mission in 1979.

But local people say this is not the case.

January 1990. NAU trial excavation of cropmark site.
No subsoil features present. Cropmarks probably surface marks, possibly caused by bonfires or rubbish burning.
