Individual patches of 'red ashes' turned by during ploughing. Finds.
1. A beaker body sherd of pink buff sand gritted fabric, decorated with 1 zone of Clarke's motif 1 and 1 of his motif 4.
2. A stone axe, (S1) and description in file.

20 September 1981.Site visited by F. Healy (NAU) and finder.
Slightly raised area in southwest corner of old Ordnance Survey 282. Surrounded by lower lying, peatier soil. Fox hole in hedge showed subsoil to be sand.
Twenty one pieces of struck and unstruck flint collected.
