A series of linear features are clearly visible on NLA oblique aerial photography from 1977 (S1). The approximate centre of this cropmark complex is located at NGR TG0459 4085. (The most northeasterly point is at NGR TG0465 4092, the southeastern at TG0463 4080, southwestern at TG0448 4075 and northwestern at TG0456 4089). Several of the linear features in this complex have an approximate east to west alignment and the clearest cropmarks of the whole area form the approximate shape of a ‘naughts and crosses’ grid. This part of the site is located around TG0463 4087, towards the northeast of the whole complex.
These ditch features appear to form some sort of complex of unknown date and origin. There are also several cropmarks of pits to be seen, also of unknown origin.
