Summary

A lump of possibly Roman iron slag was recovered from the surface of a ploughed field in 1981, while metal-detecting between 2016 and 2018 recovered a Mesolithic adze or axe and Roman coins.

On field surface after ploughing, 137m (150 yards) south of Roman road. Lump of slag from iron roasting (not tap slag).
No dating evidence, but similar in appearance to examples from Roman sites in area.
