Summary
Around 1961 to 1962 this area was ploughed for the first time, and a socketed Bronze Age axehead was recovered. Prior to this it was reported that the field had undated and unidentified ditches and mounds.

Full Description
Around 1961-1962. Stray Find.
Found after field had been ploughed for the first time in living memory:
Bronze Age copper alloy socketed axehead. See drawing (S1).

Before ploughing field contained 'mounds and ditches'.
