Wells is listed in (S1) as one of the locations in Norfolk where Neolithic implements of 'sandy site type' had been recovered prior to 1907. Finders are listed as Viscount Coke of Holkham and W. A. Dutt.
Information from (S2).
The finds associated with Viscount Coke are almost certainly a hoard of four Neolithic axeheads recorded as NHER 1812.
