Roman coarseware sherd, buffish fabric including a few large pieces grit. Black surface coating. Rouletted decoration.
Large sherd from shoulder? of globular jar. Small hole, plugged by long strip of lead.
Identified by E. M. James (KLM) 8 April 1982.
Autumn 1982.
Iron Age silver coin.
Obverse, head facing right, reverse, horse facing right.
