Summary
This is the site of a Hawker Hurricane aircraft crash. It is thought that the surrounding area was an airfield for a bombing area during World War Two, and that an airstrip survived here until the 1960s. The crash site was excavated in October 1980.

Excavation of Hawker Hurricane crash site.
Information from Fenland Aircraft Preservation Society (called Cross Keys).
E. Rose (NAU), 30 July 1982.
Area around site stated to have been an airfield in World War Two for a bombing area. An airstrip survived here until the 1960s. Name of informant unknown.
