Summary

Metal detecting here in 1981 recovered a medieval coin of Edward III. Later, in 1987, a sherd of Roman greyware pottery was also found in the same area.

There is a disrepancy between the parish and the grid reference for these finds. The grid reference on the original record card (S1) has been annotated poorly. It is possible that the first half of the grid reference contains transposed numbers and should read [2]. These finds may therefore have been recovered from NHER 60870 and not from here.
