Map

June 1977. Aerial photography by Aerial Archaeology Foundation.
Soilmark of road with ditch on each side. Runs from road fork (now removed by Bowthorpe development) on west to field boundary on east. Passes under a hedge en route so not caused by construction traffic.
E. Rose (NAU) 24 November 1982.

July 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A curvilinear bank feature with fragmentary ditches either side is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1) running from TG 1761 0971 to TG 1776 0982. It measures up to approximately 7m in width. It may be an extension of the road visible on the 2nd edition Ordnance survey map, or perhaps related to the possible sections of Roman road recorded as NHER 5244 and 54444 to the south, and NHER 15768 and 54443 to the north.
E. Bales (NMP), 20 July 2010.
