Timber framed house, later 16th century of uncommon form. Part demolished. Mid 17th century? Painting on fireplace.

Old Rose and Crown Farmhouse, The Street. Hardwick.
17th century timber-framed house, plastered, ground floor faced in red brick in 20th century. Steep gable-ended roof with modern tiles. Brick chimney stack at northeast end, now encased in 18th century extension with lower pitched pantile roof, and an addition of late 19th century date on the northeast end. Two storeys. Four window range, 19th century and modern casements.
