Full Description
27 July 1979. Within Kimberley Park.
Positive cropmarks.
Linear and curvilinear ditches of enclosures.
Possible deer parks? And part moat?
D. Edwards (NAU), 18 February 1983.
Probably not part of a moat as it seems to continue a zigzag line.
Probably park boundaries and deer leaps.
Very interesting.
Now partly overlain by 18th century woods.
E. Rose (NAU), 11 March 1983.
September 2012. Norfolk NMP.
These cropmarks were not mapped by the NMP as they appear to be tracks of relatively recent origin, or drainage ditches. However, extensive remnants of field systems, trackways and possible enclosures, of probable medieval to post medieval date, have been recorded within Kimberley Park as a separate record (NHER 57449).
S. Tremlett (NMP), 27 September 2012.
