Summary

Fieldwalking in 1983 and 1984 recovered prehistoric worked flints including a Mesolithic microlith; medieval, post-medieval and modern pottery sherds and post-medieval clay pipes fragments. Metal-detecting in 2016 recovered a medieval coin as well as a medieval/post-medieval lead weight and copper alloy vessel fragment and a post-medieval sword belt fitting.

Prehistoric worked flints.
Medieval pottery sherds (very worn).
Post-medieval pottery sherds (including lead-glazed earthenware, Staffordshire combed slipware and Bellarmine medallion fragment) and clay pipe fragments.

1984. Fieldwalking.
Found along north edge of field, near village hall:
Further struck flint including one flake of possible Mesolithic date.

The finds recovered during between 1983 and 1984 were given to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1983.93.5) [1]. The worked flint assemblage was subsequently identified by F. Healy (NAU) as comprising:
1 Mesolithic fragmentary microlith. See sketch (S1).
36 undatable prehistoric flakes, 9 blades, 2 scrapers and 3 thermally fractured fragments.

September-October 2016. Metal-detecting. Site extended 3m to the south. [2].
1 medieval coin.
