Summary

A circular ice-house of 19th century brick under an oval earth mound with a short entrance tunnel, the entrance now boarded over. It stands beside a large octagonal game larder (NHER 19424).

April 1983. Visited.
Ice-house. Just east of outbuildings of Sandringham House, beside large octagonal Game Larder, and about 183m (200 yards) northeast of lake. Under oval mound, but circular in form. Very short entrance tunnel with part of outer door frame (now boarded over). Built of late 19th century brick, leads to smaller square opening in wall of chamber.

Site is a bat roost and needs a lockable door to protect both site and bats from harm.
