Full Description
24 February 1983. Fieldwalking, poor to medium. Field divided into 2 contexts.
Context 1. South end.
Scatter with apparently no concentrations of medieval unglazed and glazed Grimston.
1 late medieval stoneware.
Post medieval including stoneware.
1 bodysherd Roman greyware.
1 flint tool.
Context 2. North end.
Greater amount of medieval towards north and more post medieval towards northeast.
2 Thetford type rims.
1 St. Neots bodysherd.
Other probable Thetford type sherds towards north.
Coin; Urbs Roma, wolf and twins, AD 330-337 at TF 7103 0530.
