Fieldwalking here during 1983 recovered a number of medieval pottery sherds and brick fragments.

27 May 1983. Within orchard and on northwest side roddon. Material from bare patches beneath trees.
Scatter of medieval pottery clearly only small sample of what actually exists. Small amount of brick/fired clay.
Minimum of about 50m northeast/southwest. Quite possibly within area of moat visible in field to east. No trace of
continuation of earthworks within the orchard.
