Full Description
(S1) in file states that present church is late 13th century begun by Sir Henry de Stanhope whose stone coffin lid, with that of his wife, remains inside. Stained glass by Kempe.

Church of around 1300, with south porch-tower. South aisle windows and very fine sedilia of later 14th century. Two 15th century windows to north. Restoration in 19th century, including in 1853, provided new roofs, two new windows and internal furnishings. Two medieval carved coffin slabs. Important 19th century glass by Kempe.
