Summary

Metal detecting and fieldwalking between 1983 and 2022 recovered prehistoric flint flakes; part of a Neolithic flaked flint axehead; medieval pottery sherds; medieval and post-medieval coins and a number of other, Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Roman possible spoon probe from toilet set; Early Saxon tweezers; a Middle/Late Saxon strap end; a Late Saxon lead weight; a medieval buckle, belt mount and lid/cover from censer or lamp and post-medieval rotary keys, a coin weight, knife end stop, rowel spur, pair of dividers, toy musket, gold mourning ring and lead cloth seal.
