Full Description
5 December 1982. Very heavy clay soil - wet and shaky. Cereal 12cm (5") high - conditions quite good.
Area of heavy 16th century? occupation.
1 medieval sherd.

(S1) records this as Site 73 and discusses it in some detail. The settlement seems to have been relatively short-lived, and is unusual in that settlement was generally contracting in this area in the late medieval to early post medieval period. This is the only example of settlement expansion in Loddon during this period.
