Summary

A type 20/A/X pillbox dating to around 1940 situated within the western extent of the World War Two limits of Weybourne Camp (NHER 11335). A slit trench is visible to the south of this pillbox on aerial photographs taken in 1941.

Pill box. Described by pill box survey as having two slits and a pipe. Presumably refers to a circular siting device. Polygonal, brick. Situated on a slope in the middle of a cornfield so details could not be checked.

Centre of site altered from TG 0953 4382 to TG 0959 4378.
World War Two pillbox and associated slit trench mapped from aerial photographs from 1940-1 (S2-3) within the World War Two limits of Weybourne Camp (NHER 11335). The pillbox described above was located at TG 0959 4378. In between 1940 and 1941 a slit trench has been constructed to the south of the pillbox. This trench is over 50m and is zigzag in plan.
