Summary

Extensive metal detecting has recovered many medieval finds including two medieval seal matrices, one inscribed with a hare and the hunting cry SOhOV SOhOV, a seal of the Pope Innocent III, medieval pottery and medieval coins. A probable medieval moated site at this location is now recorded separately as NHER 31127.

It should be noted that it has been reported that excess soil from other developments has previously been dumped in the southern part of this site as part of attempts to fill depressions associated with a probable medieval moated site (now recorded under NHER 31127). The provenance of finds found in this area is concequently no entirely secure.
