Summary

Fieldwalking in advance of the construction of the Wisbech bypass has recovered a scatter of medieval and post medieval pottery. Metal detecting found a medieval coin of Edward I.

Winter 1982 to 1983. Fieldwalking in advance of construction. Found on surface of ploughed fields. On line of Wisbech bypass.
Thin scatter, 550m long, width not determined, of early medieval to 17th/18th century sherds. Also one Roman scrap.
