Summary

Prior to 1983, metal detecting recovered two Roman coins, a possibly Roman buckle plate, a possibly Early Saxon brooch fragment and several medieval buckles.

Pre November 1983. 'Arminghall area' (finder would not divulge findspot and would not leave objects for detailed identification). As of Vespasian or Titus AD 69-81.
Coin, 3rd or 4th century.
Fragment of openwork buckleplate (?), perhaps Roman.
Possible foot of Early Saxon brooch.
Several medieval buckles.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM) and A. Gregory (NCM) 28 November 1983.
