Summary

Fieldwalking in 1983 as part of the Fenland Project noted a scatter of prehistoric pot boilers and a few worked flints, including two possible Mesolithic blades.

Field plough and weathered.

Site WGY AI (TF 6929 1146).
On sand with gravel island just emerging from peat and barley visible.
Sparse to medium scatter of 'pot boilers' and a few worked flints. Max dimensions 35m N/S x 25m E/W. The small assemblage of work flints comprised 1 flake 2 small blades and 1 misc. retouched piece. The blades are possibly Mesolithic.
