Summary

In December 1983 fieldwalking on Pentney Island encountered a diffuse scatter of flints including several scrapers and odd pot boilers.

19 December 1983. Fenland fieldwalking. From part of Pentney Island not at any time covered in peat. Walked surface of sand with some flint gravel.
A diffuse scatter of flints found including several scrapers and only odd pot boilers about 40m x 25m.

Some of the material has been reidentified as medieval pottery and the flints as Beaker period finds by F. Healy (NAU).
