Full Description
The name "Crabb's Castle" is elsewhere used for a barrow. It is therefore possible that there may have been a round barrow at this location.

March 1991. Field Observation.
Situated some 500m north-east of Barmer Church.
The site consists of an oval pit approx. 6-8m deep, measuring approximately 40m north-to-south, 30m east-to-west. In bottom of pit there is a mound rising from centre towards west. The whole is covered in scrub, and supports old yew and deciduous trees. Banks are infested with rabbits.
See site visit notes (S2) for for further details.
