Summary

Sporadic metal-detecting between 1997 and 2012 has recovered Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a medieval coin and token; a post-medieval jetton and Roman, Late Saxon, medieval, post-medieval and undated metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Saxon strap fitting; medieval dress accessories, a harness mount and a horse harness pendant and a post-medieval lead cloth seal, thimble and an incomplete rowel spur.

Non-domestic early post medieval bronze thimble.

April 1987. Metal detecting.
Medieval gilt bronze harness mount related to stud perhaps, cross hatching etc.
Medieval gilt bronze attachment stud for harness pendant (broken where pendant would have been attached).
Half a 15th century French jetton; Early post medieval stud fastener; Bronze vessel foot, ?post medieval.
Lead cloth seal, privy mark with LOM and RH, for clothier and weaver (?), XXI for weight in pounds or yards length, late 16th/17th century. Identified by G. Egan (Museum of London).
