Summary

A Late Roman copper alloy and enamel brooch with a rim inlaid with gilt and a centre of red, white, green and yellow glass was found during farming land off Tennis Drove. The glass may be Early Saxon.

Pre December 1983. Found when working on land. Found 'off Tennis Drove' (road in square 71-93).
Bronze brooch with enamel centre, circular, rim inlaid with gilt. Proud centre of red/white/green/yellow glass. Pin at back. Diameter maximum 2.5cm. Late Roman type, but glass seems Saxon.
