Summary

A circular scatter of prehistoric pot boilers found in 1984. Metal detecting on the site has recovered Roman coins and brooches.

Map

February 1984. Immediately west of spring in Barrel Head Field.
Found on surface with metal detecting.
Roughly circular intense scatter of pot boilers about 30m (100ft) across and two Roman coins in scatter, sestertius of Faustina I and II, both horribly worn.

Autumn 1988. Metal detecting finds.
2 copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooches, 1 silver spring and head ?trumpet brooch.
2 areas of black soil and pot boilers.
