Summary

Fieldwalking in 1984 by the Fenland Survey recovered a general scatter of medieval pottery sherds, and noted a possible concentration of sherds. Two Late Saxon pottery sherds were also recovered from this field.

7 March 1984. Good well weathered plough soil.
Context 1: General scatter medieval pottery, small and abraded sherds. Small undefined scatter in northeast corner. Includes two Late Saxon sherds. WPP DJ (S1).
Context 2: at 5129 1676. Concentration of small abraded sherds of medieval pottery. No colour change, bone or shell.
This site is suspect for whole field has fair amount of pottery in it. 22 x 18m. WPP 60 (S2).
