Full Description
15 February 1984. OS field 83, North section, divided into two contexts, context 1 to east, context 2 to west.
Good fieldwalking conditions, growing wheat, no concentrations. Post medieval not collected.
Context 1.
1 flint, 4 prehistoric flint gritted sherds, 1 hand-made gritty sherd,
14 Roman coarseware, 1 glazed Grimston, 2 medieval unglazed.
Context 2.
77 Roman coarse ware, 2 Roman oxidised, 1 gritty handmade, 1 rim pimply Ipswich; 1 Thetford type jar rim, 9 medieval unglazed; 3 ?glazed Grimston and 4 definite; 1 late medieval/early post medieval.

Roman coin, Fausta PIETAS ROMANA 335-40, 34m west, 5m north of southeast corner of context.
Turquoise translucent glass bead ?Roman, at 11m north, 15m west of southeast corner.
