Summary

A thin scatter of medieval pottery fragments, together with several pieces of post medieval pottery, were noted on the surface of a ploughed field in 1984.

April 1984: Along south and east edge of orchard; note that finds appear to run into orchard but have not been followed. On surface of ploughed field. Thin scatter of 13th to 14th century sherds including Grimston green-glazed, and one or two sherds of 15th to 16th century along south edge of orchard: half a dozen sherds of 17th to 18th century pottery along east edge of orchard.
