Summary
Metal detecting around the River Tas has recovered 1249 coins including two Greek coins and one Ptolemaic coin. Iron Age and Roman objects have also been recovered including an Iron Age shale bracelet, a Roman copper alloy jug handle, a possible central Gaulish terracotta figurine and part of a Roman copper alloy bracelet with a snake head at each end.

Full Description
1982 to 1983. Metal detecting in ploughsoil and river dredgings.
'From both sides of river west of town', from site NHER 9759 and also from several county numbers east of river.
1249 Roman coins including two Greek and one Ptolemaic, Roman and Iron Age metal and ceramic objects.
