Summary

This was the site of a common edge settlement during the medieval period. Field walking has recovered prehistoric flints, including two concentrations of prehistoric pot boilers, medieval pottery and roof tile, a medieval whetstone and a post medieval coin.

Full Description

1979. OS field Great Fransham 70.
Detailed fieldwork, only partially completed because of drilling.
Medieval sherds including Grimston and possible Stamford or imported sherd, hone (and coin, probably late).
