Summary

Post medieval metalwork, including metal working debris and a fragment of a possible crucible have been found by metal detecting, suggesting that this site was used for metal working during the post medieval period.

August 1984. East of Brooke Lodge. Found with metal detecting in stubble.
Copper alloy decorated rowel spur fragment.
Copper alloy scale pan fragment.
Lead circular object.
2 lead weights; 1 stamped with crown and IR for James Rex and arms of Norwich 4 ozs. The other stamp is too worn to read, 2 circular punches to indicate 2 ozs.
Copper alloy waste and possible crucible fragment.
